Gurage – “Yewelalia”

The Gurage people are hard-working and industrious people who are usually self-employed merchants who trade across the entire country. Like all Gurage music, “Yewelalia”, which is a traditional wedding song is energetic, fast paced and is usually accompanied by physically taxing Gurage dances. This single incorporates the creative use of drum solos while other band members are playing vamp.
